Area Biking/Group Rides

Area Biking
Frederick County, only an hour from Washington and Baltimore, offers terrific road riding on sparsely traveled country roads. Choose from gently rolling hills and numerous covered bridges or more challenging rides up to Camp David, Fort Ritchie, and Gettysburg. Come in to Wheel Base and let us map out a route to meet your riding experience and ability.

Mountain Biking: Some of the very best mountain biking in the region is found in Gambrill State Park and the Frederick Watershed, Both have extensive trail systems for intermediate and advanced mountain bike riders. You’ll find off-camber single track, trails with numerous obstacles, long and steep double track climbs, and rock gardens to test every rider's mettle. Easier trails are located nearby in Little Bennett Regional Park, Black Hills Regional Park, and Schaeffer Farms.
